Itsy bitsy spider

John was outside working on putting gutters on the back patio. He came inside and said "Wynter said the funniest thing!"
As he was putting gutter up Wynter exclaimed, "Daddy are you building this for the spider?"
Her innocence and seriousness was what made the comment so funny and so precious!

Maia 5th birthday 7-17-17

Such a fun day at Urban Air! Maia had a blast with family and friends. Can't believe she is 5! Seems like such a big number when 1 is such a small number. I'm sure when she is 10 I'll miss this time in her life. I tell myself daily to enjoy the moments...the current moments. They go by fast.  I love you Maia and I tell you often the God made you and placed you in our lives at the right time. I know I am here to raise you because I feel you will do extraordinary things! You already have in my eyes...just being the free spirited little girl you are.

Maia spring sing

Maia performed her little spring sing this week. She did amazing! She was so proud of herself. During the performance she followed her music teacher and didn't miss a beat. She was so expressive which is her strong suit. I remember when I did singing performances and how great it was to see my family in the seats. That look and smile Maia gave when she saw all of us was priceless!
Grammie, granddad, bubba, sissy mommy/daddy and Tracy (our neighbor) were all there! What a great day for Maia!

Blankets still the trend

Maia and Wynter both still comfort themselves with their blankets. Wynter has recently developed a liking to one particular blanket over her other one. They both are the same color with same fabric. She typically smells the one she favors to identify it. I have no idea what she smells that tells her, "this is the one." Mom and I decided to test her. We marked a pink why on the blanket she prefers. Then today I swapped it for the other blanket while she went to the bathroom. Astoundingly she identified the imposter and wondered where her blanket was!!! So funny!
